Family

With Wisconsin roots stretching back to the 1860s, the Ingalls family is proud to call Tomah home. Today, that legacy continues with my wonderful wife of 14 years, Jennifer, and our two children, Jacob and Avery—both of whom are active and proud students at Tomah Middle School. Our household is kept lively by our two Golden Retrievers, Emma and Dutchess, along with a busy flock of chickens.

Community

As a military family, Tomah has been our community of choice for the past 8 years and foreseeable future. We enjoy the small town life with Hockey Games, Culvers, and Fish Fries, along with annual Cranfest and Downtown Thursday Nights becoming our new family traditions. We find ourselves engaged in/or volunteering with School related Athletics, Activities and Booster Club, Boys & Girls Club, and local Veterans Groups.

Service

As an enlistee, 4 months after 9/11,

I never expected a 20 year career. However, the mission, exceptional leaders, and camaraderie was very motivating. The two leadership mantras that guided me were: "come with solutions to problems" and "tell me what YOU intend to do." Applying these principles enabled me to develop cohesive teams of next-generation Soldiers capable of overcoming adversity, hardship, and the reality of combat.
